Elena Shipizina, the Israeli project and Ural project leader

Elena Shipizina graduated from the Academy of Arts after Repin, the department of the theory and history of arts. She is the member of the Union of Artists of Russia and of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA).
Specializations: the linguistic peculiarities of the new figurativeness in the modern art practice; the artistic processes in Russian and foreign art at the turn of XX-XXI centuries.
Elena is the curator of the exhibitions held in Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.
Besides, Elena represented Russia in the X International Baltic Biennale of Graphic Arts “Kaliningrad – Königsberg” and was awarded the diploma “The Best Curator’s Work”.
In 2015 she took part in a parallel programme of the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art with a curatorial project “The centre of the point is placed on the side” (The Centre of Creative Industries “Fabrica”, Moscow); in 2017 she took part in a parallel programme of the IV Ural Industrial Biennale with a curatorial project “The red line”.
Elena collaborates with the International Centre of Contemporary Art “The main Prospect” (Yekaterinburg) as a lecturer. She also collaborates with the Museum of Contemporary Art “Erarta” in Saint Petersburg as a co-curator. Elena is the coordinator of the international projects in the Gallery of Contemporary Art “SKIZZA” (Jerusalem, Israel).
