Igor Tishin, the Belgium-Germany project leader

Igor Tishin, an artist, was born in Belarus in 1958. His painting style can be named “a stylistical milkshake”: “a severe style”, the compositional allusions to futurism and constructivism, arte povera, art brut were mixed with the ignorant and outsider art.
Igor Tishin graduated from the Minsk Art College (1978) and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts in Minsk (1983). He worked as a professor in the Minsk Art College (1986-1991); took part in the 51st Venice Biennale (The Belarussian pavilion in the international Platonov Arts Festival in Voronezh (2015)). His pieces of art are placed in the Belarus National Art Museum in Minsk, the Saint Petersburg Museum of Arts XX-XXI, the Novosibirsk State Art Museum, the Bashkiria State Art Museum after M.V. Nesterov, the Komi National Gallery, in the Center of Theatrical Arts «House of Meyerhold» in Penza and other art collections.
Today the artist lives and works in the City of Brussels and Saint Petersburg.
